This policy explains what information Fine Line Laser Studio (“we”, “us”) collects through this website (finelinelaserstudio.com), our order site (orders.finelinelaserstudio.com), our in-person sales at our shop and events, and our text-message receipts, and how we use it. Purchases made on our online shop at shop.finelinelaserstudio.com are handled by Shopify and are also covered by Shopify’s privacy policy.
Information we collect
- Quote and contact requests: your name, email, and anything you choose to give us — company, phone number, order details, the logo or artwork you upload, and your message.
- Purchases and orders: what you bought, prices, taxes, and your name, email, mobile number or shipping address if you give them to us for the order or its receipt.
- Payments: card payments are processed by Stripe. We see the card brand and last four digits, never your full card number.
- Text receipts: the mobile number you give us at checkout when you ask for a text receipt, and a record that you asked for it (see Text message receipts).
- Website usage: pages visited, device and browser type, and approximate location from your IP address, collected by Cloudflare Web Analytics (cookieless) and Google Analytics (which uses cookies). Cloudflare Turnstile checks that form submissions come from a person.
How we use it
- To answer your questions, prepare quotes and proofs, make and deliver your order, and send receipts and order updates you asked for.
- To keep business records (sales, taxes, refunds) as the law requires.
- To keep our website working, secure and free of spam, and to understand which pages are useful.
We don’t sell your personal information, and we don’t use it for anyone else’s marketing.
Text messages (SMS)
If you ask for a text receipt at checkout, we use your mobile number only to send that receipt (one transactional text per purchase). We don’t send marketing texts through this program. Reply STOP to opt out or HELP for help; message and data rates may apply. Full details are on our Text message receipts page and in the SMS section of our Terms of Service.
No mobile information will be shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Mobile numbers, text-message opt-in data and consent are not shared with, sold to, rented to, or transferred to any third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. The only party that receives your number is our messaging provider (Twilio), and only to deliver the texts you asked for.
Who we share information with
We share information only with service providers who help us run the business, and only as needed for them to do that work:
- Stripe (card payments), Twilio (text-message delivery), Resend (email delivery), Shopify (our online shop), Cloudflare (website hosting, security and analytics) and Google (website analytics).
- Shipping carriers, when we ship your order.
- Authorities, when the law requires it, or to protect our rights or someone’s safety.
If the business is ever sold, customer records would transfer to the new owner under this policy — except that text-message opt-in data and consent are never transferred for marketing purposes.
How long we keep it
We keep order, sales and tax records for as long as tax and accounting rules require (typically seven years). Quote requests and messages that don’t become orders are kept for up to two years. Uploaded artwork is kept so we can reorder your design unless you ask us to delete it.
Security
We use reputable providers, encrypted connections (HTTPS), and limit access to customer information to the people who need it to fill your order. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to protect what you share with us.
Your choices
- Texts: reply STOP to any text to stop them.
- Email: we email you only about your quotes and orders; ask us any time to stop.
- Cookies: you can block or delete Google Analytics cookies in your browser settings.
- Access, correction and deletion: email info@finelinelaserstudio.com to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you. We’ll respond within 45 days. We may keep records the law requires us to keep.
Children
This website is for businesses and adults. We don’t knowingly collect information from children under 13.
Changes
If we change this policy, we’ll post the new version here with a new “Last updated” date.
